OCTG present level
This feature aims at letting visitors have a fairly good idea of the present price level.
It is important to remind readers that the world market is divided in two, be it for rig count or price level of OCTG :
North America and the rest of the world.
Traditionnally, North American pipe mills supply carbon steel grades mainly -if not exclusively- to their domestic market,
at a premium compared to world market. This premium goes sometimes as high as 20%.
The prices available will rather reflect the international trend.
Caution has to be applied, as some of the info gathered may concern fairly large quantities :
India and Iran are typically buying on a large quantity basis,
while independant oil companies may buy per string, which of course impacts the price offered.
