Benchmark The benchmark is used to measure the wear of the connections’ shoulder/seal. Re-facing of damaged shoulder can be done twice on a conventional connection, removing 1/32” each time. On double shoulder connections (DP2S, DPHT), both shoulders need to be reworked simultaneously to maintain the length and tolerance between shoulders. The DPAL benchmark is located inside the connection in order to avoid external damage or wear on measurement readings. |
